Housing Division

RAKLI - the Finnish Association of Building Owners and Construction Clients - represents professional owners and developers of rental and right-of-occupancy housing. We give housing developers, owners and investors the opportunity to get together and influence the operating preconditions and develop existing practices in the sector. We promote rental housing and work to enhance its perceived image. We promote better maintenance of housing stock and contribute towards securing rental housing for various needs.

One of our key tasks is lobbying to promote the interests of the sector. We participate in a consultative role in legislative work on housing, housing subsidy policies and the town planning process. We get our views across in written statements and comments and by participating in working groups.

Currently it is important to ensure the launch of sufficient rental housing construction projects, since the demand for rental homes has long been greater than supply in growing urban areas and in the Helsinki metropolitan area in particular. Other key issues in our operations include promoting refurbishments and energy efficiency improvements as well as finding new, innovative senior housing solutions. The Housing Division is managed by the executive group.
