Infrastructure and Urban Development

Infrastructure means the entire built environment of our society: transport networks and channels, telecom and water supply, hydraulic engineering structures, subterranean networks, rock structures, energy networks and public utilities. Urban development connects public and private interests in development-wide solutions and in wider scope than just on single property or single infrastructure system level.

The Infrastructure and Urban Development Division at RAKLI aims to improve the operating conditions of the infrastructure cluster in cooperation with its members, consisting of owners and developers of infrastructure and urban development as well as service providers in the sector. We monitor the development of the operating environment and represent the interests of our members. We also strive to increase general awareness of infrastructure as a crucial part of the public utility network and good living environment provided by viable urban development.

RAKLI has an important role in developing the infrastructure market, its implementation and financing methods, urban planning and urban development. Examples of these activities include the promotion of Public Private Partnership (PPP) concepts and operations in the "Procurement clinics". We provide information and contact networks for our members in administering and constructing infrastructure and procuring maintenance services, as well as in finance and investment issues relating infrastructure and urban development.
