Tarmo Pipatti (RT): Expect Decline in Short-Term, Work for Long-Term Potential
"Historically, we have not seen such rapid decline of construction in Finland," says Tarmo Pipatti about the recent decrease in Finnish construction activity. "It has been a drastic plunge."
However, he adds that the future holds positive potential. In addition to internationalization, the cluster should benefit from domestic growth.
Tarmo Pipatti is Director General of the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries. RT (CFCI) is the joint interest organization that represents the entire construction sector including building construction, construction product industries, infrastructure, surface contractors and HPAC contractors. It is a central federation, through which about 3000 companies are organized. The member companies employ over 55 000 people. The joint turnover of the companies is over EUR 15 billion.
